Manchester @ Vanilla

So we kicked off the Australian invasion with our first gig in Manchester @ Vanilla… which if you ask Neroli, Sista P , and our travelling buddy’s, it was a true test of travelling patience, and a very close call .. lets just say the 2 hour drive from London to Manchester turned into 6 hours, Neroli as navigator went across 6 pages of maps as they accidently took the scenic route. With 10 minutes to spare before the gig started, I packed my bag, to leave the hotel, with none of our Djs in site, with my trusty old I Pod ,and the good old bitch banner, flying solo I fronted up to our first gig,not really knowing if it was going to be the Schembri shuffle mega mix off my I Pod, as our first tour gig, or if they were actually going to find Manchester before midnight. With 2 minutes to spare, there was my buddy Penny – AKA Sista P burning through the door, shoving her shoes on from a quick footpath change, and in the door ready to roll – oh my god I had never been so happy to see her. None the wiser the room is ready to rock, and that’s exactly what the girls did.. got that party jumping and packed the club within an hour of opening woo hoo.. one down 5 to go. Manchester girls defiantely know how to drink, and gave us a run for our money. With only one hours sleep, up we get ready for the road trip.. 5 girls with sleep deprevation, a fat hangover, and hours of driving time ahead, became a very “Special” experience to say the least.
